About the Group
The Elmira-Corning LLM Professionals Network is a regional community for anyone working at the intersection of AI, automation, and real-world technology. We're not a conference crowd — we're practitioners, tinkerers, and builders who want to connect, learn, and grow together.
Whether you're deploying AI tools in your business, running experiments in your homelab, or just trying to cut through the hype — this group is for you.
We meet locally, share openly, and keep it grounded in what actually works.
Practical applications of large language models in real business and tech environments.
Workflow automation, scripting, and integrations that actually save time.
Responsible AI use in business, society, and the workplace.
A local network of professionals sharing knowledge, leads, and opportunities.
Why We Exist
The Elmira-Corning LLM Professionals Network is a regional community dedicated to the practical, ethical, and productive use of large language models, AI, and automation in business and technology.
Elmira and Corning have weathered the challenges of deindustrialization for decades — but the Southern Tier has always had talent, and we believe it has the capacity to remain innovative and competitive in an era defined by artificial intelligence. We started this group because local professionals shouldn't have to navigate that future alone, or fall behind while the tools reshaping their industries evolve without them.
We're not here to sell hype, and we're not here to sound alarms. We're here to do the work: sharing knowledge, running experiments, asking hard questions, and building real skills around technologies that are already changing how we do our jobs. We believe AI and automation are most valuable when they enhance human roles, improve efficiency, and create new opportunities — not displace the people behind them.
Our community is open to IT professionals, developers, engineers, makers, homelab enthusiasts, and business leaders across the Southern Tier who want to learn, build, and grow alongside these technologies. We meet online and in person to exchange ideas, host demos and discussions, and hold ourselves to a common standard: that good technology use is also responsible technology use.
We collaborate. We innovate. We automate. We elevate — together.
